Born 1978 in Zigong, Sichuan, Liu Ping graduated from Chinese Painting Department of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute with MFA degree in 2007.

“I am always in favour of paintings of portraits. An eye expression, a small motion, a few hairs, even a little stuck-up mouth will touch the innermost part of my mind. The figures in my paintings are confident and fashionable with strong personality, yet are somewhat lost. In this colourful and rapidly developing time, everything is uncertain, However, if one would stop and watch, there must be something that deserves us to stop and watch.”

Liu Ping is a dedicated full time artist and has participated in several exhibitions.
