Group exhibition of region's 6 vibrant painters

The annual Burmese art event exhibiting the latest contemporary art coming from Myanmar. Featured are 30 works capturing the spirituality and simple lifestyle of an uncluttered understandable art form which is synonymous with the new awakening of the region’s 6 vibrant painters.

The exhibition opens at The Rotunda, Exchange Square, Central, Hong Kong
10:00am - 8:00pm daily, Monday 22nd - 27th February 2010. Thereafter continues at Asia Fine Art gallery until 31st March.

Nann Nann’s sculptures are well known, her paintings are of a simple meditative form with beauty and clarity of colour – created with a confident bold technique.

Aye Nyein Myint’s works illustrate her established portrayal of vivid still life – as she sees things, sometimes distorted through glass.

Kyaw Lin’s paintings based on new sketches from the highlands of the country- a clean, minimalist style with a harmonious composition of colour and texture.

Khine Minn Soe always the perfectionist continues to add movement to his still life in his own inimitable style.

M Han Aye creates oil on canvas paintings of Yangon downtown mainly with palette knife and strong bold brush strokes, a style which has aroused much interest in his work.

Khin Zaw Latt winner of the Myanmar Contemporay art ontest continues with his award winning series showing how everyday people go about their lives with bright colourful paintings.
